A bit later than we were used to, but it’s almost time for the fifth edition of the biggest and best craft beer festival of Brussels: BXLBeerFest! On the 30th of September and the 1st of October in Tour & Taxis, you get once again the opportunity to try more than 400 beers—and some meads and ciders—from 60 smaller, artisanal breweries from Belgium, Europe and beyond. From a clean glass, of course!
The clock once again switched to summer time, the days are longer, the terraces are open and usually quite full. June already started, this means the beer festivals are upon us, and finally again the full lineup! In this blog post, we’ll go over the beer festivals and events that are already known to us—even if just a little—and we think will be worth going to, so you can put them in your calendars already, and ask for the necessary days off from work…
The first beer festivals are reemerging again, but in Brussels not really yet. Luckily, like last year, when beer festivals weren’t at all allowed, Belgium Beer Week comes to the rescue, proposing dozens of beer-related activities from 23 till 29 August 2021. Last year, its scope was limited to Brussels and Antwerp, but this second edition also includes activities in Leuven, Bruges, Ghent, Mechelen, Liège, and Namur.
It is a sad year for beer festivals, since about all of them have been cancelled. However, that doesn’t mean there is nothing to do for beer lovers!
During the very first edition of the Belgium Beer Week—from 24 till 30 August 2020—you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy a large number of small beer events all over the city, in venues you’ll probably already know and love. Check out which tap takeovers, tastings, tours, workshops and other Belgium Beer Week events you can expect in Brussels next week!
Closing off the beer festival season as usual, is Brussels Beer Project‘s anniversary festival Wanderlust, this weekend September the 14th and 15th! As usual, visitors can expect a modest (14 breweries) but still very interesting selection of befriended breweries, each bringing at least four beers for you to sample.
It’s the end of August, which means it’s time for the biggest craft beer festival of Brussels: BXLBeerFest! For this third edition they’re once again pulling out all the stops to make this a great beer festival: clean glasses for every beer served, cold storage for the kegs, great food, and plenty of room to sit or walk around to socialise with old and new beer friends!
The third edition of the Swafff! Brussels Craft Beer Festival this weekend, kicks off the beer festival summer in Brussels again. On Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of May, Karreveld Castle and its grounds will be the place to be anyone interested in sampling beers from almost 20 Belgian and other European breweries. Add some food, a DJ, four bands, games, and a bouncy castle, and you’ll have a fun filled weekend for the whole family ahead of you!
A new, one-day edition of Wanderlust, Brussels Beer Project‘s anniversary festival, will take place tomorrow, Saturday 15th September 2018, once again hosting a wide selection of befriended breweries from nearby—Belgium and the Netherlands— and far away. Unless something unexpected pops up, Wanderlust is already the last beer festival of the year, so don’t miss this opportunity to try some new beers!
If you’ve been to any beer bar or beer festival in the last couple of months, you must already have noticed the posters or flyers, for BXLBeerFest. In just a week— Saturday the 25th and Sunday 26th of August 2018 to be exact—the biggest, cleanest, freshest, and tastiest beer festival dedicated to artisan beer in Brussels, will take place for the second time at Tour & Taxis, and we sure hope you can all make it!
If you’ve been to any of the beer bars in Brussels, it would have been hard to miss: the beer festival summer in Brussels kicks off again this weekend with the second edition of the Swafff! Brussels Craft Beer Fffestival. It has already started a little bit with several Swafff Week events in a number of bars—still some more tonight—but the main event is in Karreveld Castle on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of May, where more than 20 Belgian and other European breweries will gather to serve us their best beers.
