Wanderlust 2019

Closing off the beer festival season as usual, is Brussels Beer Project‘s anniversary festival Wanderlust, this weekend September the 14th and 15th! As usual, visitors can expect a modest (14 breweries) but still very interesting selection of befriended breweries, each bringing at least four beers for you to sample.

This year Wanderlust is returning to the Vismet again, where it started in 2016 with the first edition of the anniversary festival, then still named Good Beer Feast. After last year’s one day festival, Wanderlust also returns to the former two day formula, giving everybody the opportunity to spread out their tastings over the whole weekend.

The beer list is already available (see below), and for the occasion the online taproom Untappd menu has a special section for the festival.

It’s not just about beer though. As you’ve come to expect from beer festivals in Brussels, the food offering is of a high level as well. De Vismijn—ran by a former BBP employee—will be serving delicious, hand rolled, shrimp croquettes. Fermenthings is already a familiar sighting at most beer festivals, bringing you fermented food from around the world. Pistola will take care of all your beef burger needs, and Les Huitres du Père Gus will be there if you feel like pairing some oysters with your stouts.

Tickets are available online: € 19 for a glass and seven 12.5cl beers. At the door you’ll pay € 12 for the glass and three beers. The festival runs from 2pm to 10pm on Saturday, and from 1pm till 8pm on Sunday, but if you feel like partying on on Saturday: there will be an afterparty at Madame Moustache, with craft beers!
