Swafff! Brussels Craft Beer Festival 2019

The third edition of the Swafff! Brussels Craft Beer Festival this weekend, kicks off the beer festival summer in Brussels again. On Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of May, Karreveld Castle and its grounds will be the place to be anyone interested in sampling beers from almost 20 Belgian and other European breweries. Add some food, a DJ, four bands, games, and a bouncy castle, and you’ll have a fun filled weekend for the whole family ahead of you!

Once again, Grégoire of Dynamo – Bar de Soif, Seb of Le Barboteur – Bièrothèque, and Antoine of Malt Attacks joined forces to organise Swafff, and the line-up of breweries is again very appealing: a nice mix of established craft breweries, and lesser known, but very promising breweries.

An € 8,- ticket will gain you entrance and a 12,5 cl tasting glass for the whole weekend, and for € 10,- you’ll get 5 tokens. Most beers will cost you just one token, but they might ask two or three for some of the more special ones.
If you buy your tickets online, five tokens will already included in the € 16,14 ticket price, and you’ll avoid queuing for tickets and your first batch of tokens that way.

There will be plenty to eat again: fermented food and stuffed buns by Fermenthings, burgers by Pistola, vegan food by Voodoo Vegan, and—new this year—ribs by Sweet Smoke BBQ.

After enjoying some food, just rinsing your glass might not be enough to wipe of any grease stains. Luckily there will be some Spülboys this year, to properly clean the glasses!

This year, there will also be live music and a DJ on both days, so it’s even more like a music festival this time. If that’s not your thing, there will also be games to keep yourself occupied, and a bouncy castle for the children.

As usual, there will be a bottle shop as well, so you can enjoy a bit more Swafff at home after the festival ends.
