Jardin Hospice

While the weather is bearable again but not yet too cold and wet, why not enjoy some beers in a garden? Jardin Hospice is a beer garden hidden in a listed neoclassical hospice, dating back to the Dutch period. As old as the building is, as modern are the beers served: lots of Brussels Beer Project on draught, and beers from more local 21st century breweries can be found in the fridges!

On a nice evening, it can get quite busy at Jardin Hospice, but the queues usually move quite quickly, and it will give you some time to peruse the surprisingly extensive menu. BBP classics like Delta, Tripel Bertha, Jungle Joy, and even their double IPA Barracuda are available on draught. They’re served in 33cl, and in the summery large sizes 50cl and 1,5l, for if you’re sharing, or just very thirsty…

In the fridge you’ll find some BBP beers—including their alcohol free offering—but also beers by Fugu, De la Senne, and Surréaliste.

Fritkot

While the garden bar itself only serves some crisps, cheese, and sausages to eat, there is a full-size fritkot on site, serving burgers, hot dogs, and chips.

Sometimes, there are even more food stands set up, serving pizzas and grilled meats.

So wether you want to find a cool place in the shade, or catch the last rays of summer sun while enjoying a local beer, secret beer garden Jardin Hospice serves both purposes!
