Good Beer Feast

GoodBeerFeast

It really is a beer weekend in Brussels, and then I don’t (just) mean the massive event on the Grand Place. Brussels Beer Project opened their brewery one year ago, and they’ll be celebrating this with a brand new beer festival: Good Beer Feast! They’ve invited thirteen breweries from all over Europe, each pouring four different beers. Including four of their own beers, that means 56 different beers will be available on the Vismet this Saturday. That’s not a lot compared to the hundreds of beers served on the Grand Place, but in our opinion, it will be a much more interesting selection!

You’ll need to buy a pass to access the festival, although you can bring a non-beer-drinking friend along for free. The €18 pass will get you in, a 12.5 cl tasting glass and six tokens. Unfortunately, the pre-sale has ended already, so if you missed it, you’ll have to pay at the entrance.

Once inside, there will be live music, food provided by meatball restaurant Ballekes, and of course all those breweries with their beers!

The attending breweries — see below — were known right from the start, when this event was first announced. Some of the participating breweries Brussels Beer Project collaborated with already, and it wouldn’t surprise me if we’ll see collaborations with the other attending breweries in the near future.

Brussels Beer Project posted the beers each brewery will be bringing on the event page on Facebook, one brewery a day, for the last couple of days. It seems there will be a nice wide spread of beer styles available at Good Beer Feast, and quite a few interesting beers among them!

The Brussels Beer Project brewery will be open as well, this Saturday: from 8:00 in the morning, you’re welcome at Rue Antoine Dansaert 188 to see the brewers in action, and try their first barrel aged beer.
