It is a sad year for beer festivals, since about all of them have been cancelled. However, that doesn’t mean there is nothing to do for beer lovers!
During the very first edition of the Belgium Beer Week—from 24 till 30 August 2020—you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy a large number of small beer events all over the city, in venues you’ll probably already know and love. Check out which tap takeovers, tastings, tours, workshops and other Belgium Beer Week events you can expect in Brussels next week!
The organisers of Belgium Beer Week aim to create a unique experience for beer aficionados, tourists, and casual passersby alike, by encouraging bars, breweries, bottle shops, and tour organisers to have a beer related event in that particular week, and promoting it for them. This first edition focuses on Brussels and Antwerp, but the next editions should also include Belgium Beer Week events in other Belgian cities.
The tiny Belgium Beer Week events like these are of course more easily organised in a safe way than a big event would, especially the ones that require booking. The ones that don’t require booking, don’t differ much from a normal bar visit, with all the usual safety precautions.
